The 2011 Frankfurt motor show has proved even better than expected. In fact, it’s very difficult to pick a show star. The 'Ultimate Gallardo' – Lamborghini’s new Super Trofeo Stradale – has been grabbing headlines (watch our video here), as has the new Ferrari 458 Italia convertible, the 458 Spider.
Jaguar’s C-X16 sports car looks as good in the metal as it does in pictures (more video action here) while Aston Martin has revealed the DBS Carbon Edition. Lotus has been busy, pulling the wraps off its hardcore Evora GTE and new Exige V6 S and Exige rally car, while the all-new generation Porsche 911 is finally out in the open.
Maserati has shocked with its new Kubang SUV while both the Alfa Romeo 4C and Toyota FT-86 rear-drive sports coupes have been updated. And the hot hatch world has gained a few new members, with the long-awaited Ford Fiesta ST turbo, all-new Ford Focus ST (including Estate!), updated Renaultsport Twingo 133 and overhauled Suzuki Swift Sport among the new miniature heroes.
