Well, actually that's not entirely true, but there are times when reality could really do with a shot in the arm. Take, for instance, the upcoming May issue of CAR magazine. An M5 prototype drifting on the ice looks good, but it would look better if you could actually watch it doing so. The same can be said of that sinister-looking M3 Frozen Edition pictured above. Sure, it looks suitably sinister on the cover, but what if it were lighting its tyres and drifting around Killarney with CAR track test driver, multiple South African racing champion Deon Joubert at the helm... Better, yes? Well, you need imagine no more – when the May 2011 issue hits the shelves on Monday, it will feature an augmented reality block that will bring those snarling V8-engined cover stars to life! All you need is a copy of the May 2011 issue, a web connection and a webcam. And there's much more – we drive the new Mercedes SLK, look at the stars of the Geneva Show and road test the Audi A7 and new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Oh, and don't forget to play our F1 Predictor game. Otherwise, stay tuned by joining us on Facebook and Twitter. | | | | | | |
