Click here to answer this question Absent Traveler,6 hrs ago I purchased a brand new bike in Chennai in February 2008 and got it registered it in Tamil Nadu. In the month of July 2008, I migrated to Noida (UP) and brought the bike with me. While leaving Chennai, I got an NOC for Delhi region issued for the bike. That was July 2008. Ever since, I never bothered to get a UP registration (my folly!) and kept on driving the bike with a TN registration and other up to date papers. Now, I need to sell the bike, which is in excellent condition and has done only 6800 km. How can I go about doing that, completing all legal formalities for transfer of ownership? If getting the bike re-registered is not possible, how can I sell it off and obtain the papers that would NOT cause any liability for me in the future in the unfortunate event of the bike meeting with an accident, etc? Please let me know. Your advice is much appreciated.
